Show Your Arms Some Love!

Happy Friday!

I can't believe it's been two weeks since we introduced part one of our Fitness Friday series! Were you able to incorporate bicep curls in your exercise regime? How did you do?

The first week I did great and was very consistent. However, this week it's been a bit of a challenge because I allowed taking care of myself to fall at the bottom of my "to-do" list. Today, I decided to refocus and identify what caused me to get off track. What did I learn? What works for me is that I must make exercising a priority first thing in the morning - even if it's just 30 minutes. When I have convinced myself I will workout after one more phone call, errands, etc., it just doesn't happen.

So this coming week, I'm pushing the reset button! In addition to getting in some good cardio, I'm committed to being more consistent with my bicep curls because they do work. Most fitness experts agree that when done correctly, they are one of the simplest and most effective weightlifting moves for anyone seeking to build or maintain arm strength and muscle tone.

I'm also looking forward to Isti's new exercise feature demonstrating an easy but very effective tricep exercise to get rid of those "bat wings." Interesting fact - Did you know that triceps make up about two-thirds of our arm size? As a major muscle in our arms, it just makes sense that training your triceps is just as important as training your biceps.
